Canada Tourist Visas
Most of the Canadian Tourist Visa applications officially called Temporary Resident Visas (TRV’s) are for those who wish to visit Canada for tourism or some other temporary personal reason other than work or business. If a foreign applicant is visiting a person in Canada, it is helpful to obtain a letter of invitation from that person to use in applying for a Canadian Tourist Visa. A financial proof will also be required, and return tickets help to show the intention to return to their home country at the end of the tour.
Canada Business Visitors
Individuals who wish to visit Canada for business purposes may apply for a Canadian Business Visa formally called Temporary Resident Visa. Practical business reasons to visit Canada may include things like meeting clients to discuss potential business opportunities or contract negotiations. It is important to note that a business visitor should not be paid for his or her time in Canada and should not provide any essential service that may require a work permit. A business visitor should receive an invitation letter from the Canadian business they are visiting.
Super Visas for Parents and Grandparents
Super Visa is a type of visitor visa that allows parents or grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit Canada for up to two years at a time. Usually 10-year visas for multiple entries. To be eligible for such a visa a Canadian child or grandchild must demonstrate that they have sufficient financial resources to support their parents or grandparents, and the visitor must pass a medical examination and purchase private medical insurance.
Alternatively, immigration authorities will use the same visa application check as visitor visas, such as deciding whether the visitor may return to their home country at the end of their visit. When evaluating visa applications, the immigration authorities will consider factors such as whether the applicant owns property with another family in his or her home country, or he or she is employed there or has another reason for returning home.
The economic and political stability of the applicant’s country will also be a factor to consider, as visitors from an unstable country may be seen as reluctant to return once they have been granted admission to Canada. As long as the immigration authorities are satisfied that the applicant meets all the conditions and is likely to comply with the rules regarding his or her stay, they will issue a Super Visa. The refusal may be appealed to the Federal Court.
